What is Brow Lamination?

Brow Lamination is the hottest new trend taking the industry by storm.

But what is it, and why do I need it?

Brow Lamination is a new treatment that creates the look of full, fluffy, beautiful eyebrows in just one easy 45 min appointment!

The microblading alternative process realigns your brows directional hair growth, fills in gaps, and enhances the overall brow shape in a noninvasive way. It is essentially a perm for your eyebrows. The results are gorgeous and visible right away providing perfectly thick brows for up to 6 weeks.

How does it work?

The semi-permanent Brow Lamination process utilizes a long-lasting perm product that smoothes, lifts, and holds the unruly hair follicles in an upward position to create the illusion of fuller, thicker, and fluffier brows.

The brow hairs must be held in the desired position for an extended period of time and secured and processed by specialized brow lamination products. The application of these products and processing period duration must be determined and performed by a trained and certified technician to ensure proper results.

The actual process starts off by painting a lifting cream onto the brow hairs, which initiates a chemical process that breaks down bonds in each hair, allowing them to be moved into a new shape. Next, the brow hairs are brushed up into place and a neutralizer is applied to create new bonds in the desired shape. Lastly, a nourishing oil is added to the brow hairs to replenish their moisture once the chemical process is complete.

You may have heard of or even used brow gels before, well Brow Lamination essentially does what a brow gel would do but without any of the negative effects of using a gel. For one, brow gels must be applied daily and secondly they often can turn white and flaky halfway through the day, while starting to lose their hold. As you can imagine, this typically results in an unsightly brow appearance by closing time. Conversely, the Brow Lamination process results in a strong, beautiful, and full brow presence without having to use any daily products for up to two months.

What Products Are Used During Brow Lamination?

This is a very important question for anyone considering getting a Brow Lamination treatment. As the popularity of brow lamination has quickly grown, some artists have resorted to using ‘out of the box’ lash lift serums, while they utilize some of the same basic realignment properties, many formulations can vary greatly in ingredients and PH levels. Many can be too strong and harsh to be used on delicate brow hair and sensitive facial skin. The use of these products designed for lashes can result in inconsistent strengths, processing times, and even damage to the brow hair and skin irritation around the brow area.

That is why is it is very important to make sure that your Brow Artist has been trained and utilizes the premium, LACQUER Lamination System for your treatment. At Melt West, “Every artist is a Certified LACQUER Technician. We only utilize the most premium LACQUER products to ensure that our clients experience the best possible Brow Lamination service and results” states Amada Flores, owner of Melt West studio in Del Mar, CA.

LACQUER, brow lamination products, were specifically formulated and balanced for use on brows with custom ingredients and strengths designed to perfectly shape and set brow hair without over-processing it and maintaining a PH level that remains gentle on sensitive facial skin.

Who Should Do It?

Anyone can experience impressive results from brow lamination but this treatment is especially impactful for those who experience natural hair growth in a downward direction, people with unruly, all over the place hair growth, and often those with patches or scars found in the brow line.

This process will realign those unruly hairs and create semi-permanent fuller, thicker, and fluffier brows for up to 6 weeks.
